About us

We are Clive and Ilse, a British–Belgian couple who met over 25 years ago and we’ve been a team ever since! Our story is one of shared passions: food, hospitality, and the mountains.

 

After running successful restaurant-bars in England and then Belgium, we decided it was time for a new adventure. That’s when the French Alps, and a new chapter in our lives started.

 

We first arrived in Villaroger for what was meant to be a single ski season… but we fell in love with the place and the breathtaking scenery, the friendly locals, and the peaceful atmosphere made it impossible to leave.

At the end of that season, we went home, put our house on the market, and made the move permanent. 10 years, and 10 wonderful winter seasons later, we are still here, as passionate as ever.

 

Running our own fully catered ski chalet in Villaroger feels like the most natural thing in the world for us. We love cooking real, homemade food, meeting people from all over the world, and sharing the joy of mountain life.

 

For us, it’s simple: good food, warm company, and a welcoming atmosphere make for the best holidays. That’s not just our motto — that’s the Snow Truth!
